ROXBURY — Town Treasurer and Tax Collector Renee Hodsdon will be officially named town administrator at Sunday’s annual town meeting.

Voters will gather at 1 p.m. at the Town Office at 1095 Roxbury Road to consider 84 articles on the warrant.

Hodsdon said the proposed budget is $714,560, which is about $47,000 more than last year. She said a good part of the increase includes money to repair the Town Office.

Tim Derouche, chairman of the Board of Selectmen, said, “Everything is very close to last year. We had to raise some things.”

One article asks voters to raise $4,000 to maintain the board dock at Roxbury Pond and to appropriate $10,000 from the Roxwind TIF account to complete the handicap accessible boat dock for Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife or Maine Department of Marine Resources projects in the Roxwind TIF program.

“We installed an ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant dock, but we found that it was not fully ADA compliant,” Derouche said. “The $10,000 that we’re asking for will make it fully ADA compliant so wheelchairs can go out there and not worry about falling off.”

Another article asks voters to appropriate up to $10,000 from the Roxwind TIF account to update the Comprehensive Plan with more focus on economic development. Last year’s appropriation was $18,500.

Hodsdon said Derouche has filed nomination papers for another three-year term and is unopposed. No one has taken out papers for a two-year term on the Regional School Unit 10 board of directors.
