Eugene

Eugene is a 3-year-old Husky. He came to us as a stray. Eugene loves to talk and is working on his leash manners. If you’re looking for spunk and energy, he is your guy. He is extremely smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn. He knows basic commands and takes treats very gently. Eugene is also house-trained. Eugene is very friendly and has quickly become a staff favorite.

Eugene will need to go to a cat-free home; however, there is a potential that he can go to a home with other dogs. He has shown some dominating behaviors while playing with other dogs. Eugene can go to a home with older kids (15+) but he may have too much energy for younger children.

As a Husky, he will need an active home and the willingness to help him express his energy in productive ways so he does not acquire behaviors in the future due to the frustration of being a working breed without a job. He has great potential with the right owner who is willing to take on the responsibility of owning a husky.
