To the Editor:

The Swap Shop at the Greenwood and Woodstock Transfer Station opens for the season on April 30. As in the past, the hours are the same as the Transfer Station hours. You must have a valid Transfer Station sticker to access the Swap Shop.

The Swap Shop is seeking more volunteers to help keep the program running smoothly. Each week, the assigned volunteer chooses the best day for them (Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday) to perform their duties. The duties include disposing of items that don’t meet guidelines, organizing items inside and outside, and sweeping out the shop.

In the past, we have had enough people to have each volunteer cover 2 weeks of the season. We would like to increase the numbers in order to have 2-person crews instead of just one person. If you would like to volunteer, please contact greenwood.me.04255@gmail.com or jane.h.chandler@gmail.com.
