Mystery Photo for March 30, 2025. Russ Dillingham/Sun Journal

We had numerous incorrect entries from people guessing old-style gas station recreations from all over the state. However, we did receive a few dozen correct entries from people who knew that last week’s Mystery Photo was taken on Black Mountain Road in Sumner. Our winner, Ginny Todd of Rumford, told us: “This is the antique gas station display created by the late Tim Wallace, located on the Black Mountain Road in Sumner. Fascinating collection of gas station memorabilia! It was the location of the Celebration of Life for Tim a few years ago, which was attended by a couple hundred people, many of whom drove their antique cars to the celebration. Tim and his wife, Sue, were friends and neighbors of my daughter’s family.” Ginny will receive a $25 Hannaford Supermarket gift card for being picked in a random drawing from all the correct entries.
