NEWRY — The 10th annual New England Mineral Conference is set for Friday through Sunday, May 16-18, at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel and Conference Center at Sunday River, 97 Summit Road.

Presentations on both New England and non-New England topics are scheduled for Friday evening and during the day on Saturday. There is a Friday afternoon technical session, an option to visit the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum at a reduced NEMC rate, a Friday evening banquet, mineral displays and exhibits, and both live and silent auctions in support of the conference, according to a news release from Jan Morrison, executive director of the New England Mineral Association.

Dealers can be visited by registrants from Friday through Saturday evening. The weekend culminates with optional collecting field trips and a museum visit on Sunday.

Registration is active through Friday, May 2, at nemineral.org.
