NORWAY — In an effort to assist with enhancing and improving the services, building, and grounds of a beloved, 140-year-old institution, Norway Savings Bank was pleased to donate $1,500 to the Norway Memorial Library’s Annual Fund.

“Norway Savings Bank has long recognized the value that Norway Memorial Library brings to the area, and we are grateful to be able to help the library continue to offer valuable resources and experiences to countless residents and visitors each year,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank.

NSB has contributed more than $6,000 to the library over the last two years in recognition of the beneficial programming, experiences, and books it offers the wider community. Norway Memorial Library continues to be a valued part of the fabric of Norway, serving countless residents and visitors each year.

“‘Third spaces,’ those community spaces separate from home and work, are where we find conversation, neutral ground, and comfort in feeling connected. Norway Memorial Library is and has been such a space for generations,” said Mary DeLano, the library’s president.

“Area residents of all ages come to their ‘third space’ to knit in the company of other knitters, for book groups, for thought-provoking movies, for story times, to meet authors and poets, and just sit in comfort and read. NSB’s generous contributions have made it possible for us to maintain Norway’s vital ‘third space.’”
