Boys
Jaziah Lavoie, Spruce Mountain senior: The Phoenix’s No. 2 player in 2004 went 8-4 in the regular season and qualified for the state singles tournament.
Caleb Paris, Lewiston junior: Paris played doubles last season but qualified for the state singles tournament. He was a Sun Journal All-Region honorable mention in 2024.
Sawyer Rooney, Winthrop junior: He has been an MVC all-star the past two seasons, along with earning Sun Journal honorable mention in 2024. He will be the Ramblers’ No. 1 player again.
Lincoln Tierney, Mt. Blue junior: Tierney appears to be moving from doubles to singles for the Cougars. As a doubles player, he has 20 career wins and reached the state tournament with Eli Hoeft in 2024.
Calvin Vincent, Edward Little junior: Vincent went 10-1 as the Red Eddies’ No. 1 player in 2024 and was the Sun Journal Player of the Year. He reached the Round of 32 in the state singles tournament.
Girls
Riley Fyfe, Winthrop senior: Fyfe played doubles in 2024 and was an MVC honorable mention selection. Coach Joe Menice said she has a good serve and plays well around the net.
Kendall Gravel, St. Dom’s junior: Gravel played doubles last season, with a record of 3-8, but moves to No. 1 singles in 2025. During the preseason, coach Andrew Girouard said Gravel was putting more pace on the ball and placing it better on the court.
Lidia Melanson, Oxford Hills senior: The Vikings’ No. 1 player has great endurance and power, according to coach Elizabeth Cheevers-Youngs. She missed the state tournament in 2024, when she lost to Honora White of Lewiston in the qualifying round.
Riley Small, Spruce Mountain senior: Small was named Sun Journal All-Region and MVC honorable mention as a doubles player in 2024. She will play singles this season.
Honora White, Lewiston senior: Coach Lorraine Bowen said White will be a key piece to Lewiston’s success this season. White went 5-7 in team matches in 2024 and qualified for the state singles tournament.
