LEWISTON — No charges are being brought in a shooting Friday night on Bates Street, police said Monday.
Police were called to the area of 297 Bates St. between Birch and Maple streets, shortly before noon Friday, where they found a 17-year-old boy suffering from a single gunshot wound.
He was hospitalized but his injuries were not considered life-threatening. The teen would not say how he was shot, investigators said, but they suspect it may have been an accidental discharge.
