SOUTH PARIS — A Mexico man convicted in July for the 2022 murder of his 27-year-old stepson will be sentenced Thursday.
Thomas Tellier, 56, was found guilty of murder following a weeklong trial in Oxford County Superior Court.
Jurors deliberated for about an hour July 24 before returning a verdict. He faces a sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
Tellier was found guilty of fatally shooting his stepson, Nicholas Trynor, during an argument at the family’s Intervale Avenue home in Mexico on Aug. 6, 2022.
Prosecutors said Tellier fired twice with a 12-gauge shotgun after a confrontation.
Trynor was found dead in a bedroom from gunshot wounds to his chest and arms.
The sentencing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in Oxford County Superior Court on Western Avenue.
