Maureen Perry of Lewiston drops her absentee ballot envelope into the collection box Monday morning in the Lewiston City Hall Council Chambers on the first day of early voting for the Nov. 4 election. “I work late and had some errands to do, so I figured I would do it now instead of waiting,” she said. Kathy Montejo, city clerk and registrar of voters, said Perry was one of three people waiting in line when the doors opened at 9 a.m. “We expected more people to be in line this morning when we opened the doors, but I think the weather might have been a factor.” she said.
