RANGELEY — A small group of people quietly gathered Saturday on Main Street at 10 a.m. to protest the Trump administration and its policies. The “No Kings” protest was one of more than 2,700 rallies planned across the country and around the world.

According to organizers, more than 7 million people took part in the one-day demonstration.

By 10:30 a.m., thirty-eight protesters lined the sidewalks, holding signs, banners and and waving American flags in a silent demonstration against what organizers called a threat to democracy.

The one-hour local rally was wrapped up by 11 a.m.
