Joan “Joanie” Frisbie

RUMFORD – Joan “Joanie” Frisbie, 74, passed away on Nov. 22, 2025, at her residence. She was born on Feb. 22, 1951, daughter of Benoit and Frances (Gallant) Jacques.

Joanie attended Rumford Schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School the class of 1969. She was a dedicated CNA at the Rumford Community Home, and for many years she showed her compassion, love and respect to her many patients, always bringing a smile to their faces. Joanie’s life was filled with warmth, laughter, and a genuine love for her family, friends and community. She leaves a lasting impact on all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Joanie is survived by her husband William (Bill) Frisbie of Rumford, sons, Kevin Frisbie and wife Erika of Palmetto, Fla., and Chad Frisbie and wife Katie of Rumford, a daughter Beth Frisbie of Rumford, a sister Jean Perry of N.C., and eight grandchildren, Mitchel, Caleb, Colby, Gabby, Emma, Grace, Brody and Maddyx.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius and St. John Church 126 Maine Ave, Rumford. Friends and Family are invited to call at The Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin St. Rumford on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m.
