Chloee Bennett poured in 25 points, including 19 in the first half, to lead Buckfield past Forest Hills 53-36 in a girls basketball game Friday in Buckfield.
Bennett made three 3-pointers during a 16-4 burst in the second quarter that gave the Bucks (6-1) a 31-14 lead.
Sarae Devoe added 13 points in the victory.
Kelsey Rancourt scored 13 points and Addison Chaisson had 11 for the Tigers (5-2).
VALLEY 81, DIRIGO 42: Kirsten Bigelow and Liana Hartwell combined for 53 points, leading the Cavaliers (7-0) over the Cougars (3-2) in Bingham.
Bigelow made five 3-pointers overall and scored 19 of her 29 points in the first half. Hartwell added 24 points, 17 in the first half.
Abby Luczynski led Dirigo with 17 points. Madison Bradeen scored 11, including three 3-pointers.
BOYS BASKETBALL
VALLEY 69, DIRIGO 58: Harry Louis scored 15 of his 28 points as part of a 23-6 surge in the third quarter that carried the Cavaliers (7-0) past the Cougars (3-2) in Bingham.
The Cavaliers trailed 32-30 at halftime, but Louis and Collin Nichols combined for all 23 Valley points in the third quarter.
Nichols finished with 20 points. Fisher Tewksbury also reached double figures with 11.
Dirigo got 19 points from Liam Malchisky, 15 from Brady Philbrick and 12 from Owen Smith.
