Blake Small scored 30 points as Mountain Valley earned its first boys basketball win of the season Saturday, 75-51 at Old Orchard Beach.

Dylan Theriault pitched in with 13 points, and Logan Crews finished with 10 for the Falcons (1-4). 

Trot Moody led Old Orchard Beach (1-4) with 17 points. Caleb Dupree and Wes Gallant each had 12. 

MT. BLUE 51, SKOWHEGAN 42: Oliver Cormier led the Cougars (4-1) with 15 points in a win over the River Hawks (3-3) in Skowhegan. 

Cooper Abell and Evan Drake each added 10 points. 

Jackson Newton paced Skowhegan with 10 points. 

YARMOUTH 52, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 42: Ian Lawrence scored 18 points to lead the Clippers (4-2), who regained control after the Patriots (2-5) erased an early 16-point deficit in Yarmouth.

Yarmouth led 18-2 in the first quarter, but Gray-New Gloucester answered with an 18-2 run of its own to tie the game at 20-20. The Clippers then grabbed a 29-25 advantage by halftime and stayed in front the rest of the way.

Adam Maxwell contributed 13 points and Evan Oranellas added 11.

Gray-New Gloucester got 11 points from Quentin Warrick, 10 from Carter Davis and nine from Carter Corson.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 26, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 23: Corinne Androkitis scored 10 points as the Seagulls (4-2) edged the Falcons (0-5) in Old Orchard Beach. 

Reagan Partridge and Ryder Blake each added seven points. 

Bella Dupuis led Mountain Valley with nine points. 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 53, YARMOUTH 23: Bryn Gilmore scored 17 points as the Patriots (7-0) handled the Clippers (1-5) in Yarmouth.

Kate Geary led Yarmouth with six points.

FRIDAY’S BOYS HOCKEY

LEWISTON CO-OP 5, WINDHAM CO-OP 0: Aizyk Laliberte recorded a hat trick and an assist for Lewiston/Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse (3-2) in a win over Windham/Westbrook/Sacopee Valley (2-2) at USM Arena in Gorham. 

Anthony Kavanaugh and Landon Desjardins were the other goal scorer. Kavanaugh also had an assist. 

Kai Stockford stopped 24 shots for the shutout, while Sawyer Perkins made 32 saves for the Trail Blazers.
