Cai Dougher scored 21 points in his return to action and led Spruce Mountain to a 57-32 boys basketball win over Monmouth Academy on Monday in Jay.

Dougher, who missed the first five games of the season, hit two 3-pointers in the opening quarter and four in the game. Owen Kelvey added 11 points and Dylan Jewett had 10 for the Phoenix (4-2).

Levi Laverdiere led the Mustangs (2-3) with eight points.

CARRABEC 41, TELSTAR 39: The first three quarters ended in a tie before Carrabec outscored Telstar by two points in the fourth quarter to earn a victory in North Anson. 

Pete Vicniere scored 15 points for the Cobras (4-1), who outscored the Rebels (1-4) 9-7 in the fourth. 

Connor DePrey and Alex Doughty both scored 14 points for Telstar.

CAMDEN HILLS 87, OXFORD HILLS 55: Nolan Ames helped the Windjammers (6-0) remain undefeated by scoring 33 points in a win over the Vikings (1-4) in Rockport.

Tucker Whitley chipped in with 19 points and Keifer Healey contributed 11.

Carson Stevens paced Oxford Hills with 14 points. Cam Pulkkinen recorded 12 points.

GARDINER 64, LEAVITT 55: Brady Atwater scored eight of his 14 points in the first quarter as the Tigers (4-1) jumped out to a 23-12 lead and beat the Hornets (3-3) in Gardiner.

Trace Moody added 17 points and nine rebounds. Brady Peacock chipped in 12 points, Nicholas McKay added 10, and Colin McCormick pulled down eight rebounds.

Colin Schlobohm netted 24 points and Darren Flagg added 16 for Leavitt.

MARANACOOK 69, DIRIGO 66: Jack Fontaine and Gage Mattson each scored 24 points as the Black Bears (6-1) earned a Class C South victory over the Cougars (3-3) in Dixfield.

Half of Fontaine’s points came on 3-pointers.

Liam Malchisky led Dirigo with 19 points, while Owen Smith finished with 17.

LISBON 64, OAK HILL 59: Jaxson Roy-Thompson paced the Greyhounds (4-2) with 20 points in their win over the Raiders (1-4) in Wales.

Maleek Beauimer scored 14 points, Braden Long added 12 and Owen Hurd finished with 10 for Lisbon, which trailed by eight heading into the fourth quarter.

Aiden Fortin led Oak Hill with 16 points. Braden New notched 13 points and PJ Smith had 10.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

GARDINER 53, LEAVITT 22: Molly Takatsu scored 13 points to go with five steals and five assists as the Tigers (4-1) beat the Hornets (2-4) in Turner.

Brynnlea Chaisson chipped in with 11 points. Alexa Quintana had 15 rebounds.

Gabby Smith scored 10 points for Leavitt.

BOYS HOCKEY

FRYEBURG CO-OP 6, WINDHAM CO-OP 5: Gunner Truman, Jacoby Boyce and Kiefer Gilligan all scored two goals for Fryeburg/Lake Region/Oxford Hills (5-0) in a win over Windham/Westbrook/Bonny Eagle/Sacopee Valley  (2-3) at Bridgton Ice Arena.

Truman added two assists and Boyce had one.

Mason Caron and Logan Guay each recorded a goal and an assist for the Trail Blazers. Goals by Patrick Doherty and Josh Arbour in the third period erased a 3-1 deficit, but Gilligan answered with two goals just 24 seconds apart. After Guay cut the margin to 5-4, Truman clinched the victory with an empty-netter.

Charlie Herrick picked up the win, making 27 saves. Sawyer Perkins stopped 21 shots for the Windham co-op.
