Abby Luczynski scored 50 points and Dirigo cruised to a 103-46 win over Boothbay in a Mountain Valley Conference girls basketball game Tuesday night in Boothbay Harbor.

Luczynski made six 3-pointers and was 8 for 10 from the free-throw line. Emma Witas added 19 points and Haleigh Hutchins scored 12 for the Cougars (8-6).

Tatum French finished with 21 points for Boothbay (5-11).

WELLS 53, POLAND 47:  Payton Fazzina made four 3-pointers in the first quarter, Megyn Mertens scored 10 of her 20 points in the second quarter, and the Warriors (13-2) downed the Knights (10-5) in Wells.

Mertens also grabbed 11 rebounds, while Fazzina finished with 17 points. Eva Talevi had 10 points and seven rebounds.

Payton Rose scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, and Sophia Aube had 10 for Poland.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 74, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 10: Lily Bellerose scored 21 points and the Phoenix (14-1) rolled a win over the Falcons (5-10) in Rumford.

Maddie Grimaldi and Natasha McDonald each contributed 11 points for Spruce Mountain.

Madison Blanchard’s six points led Mountain Valley.

OAK HILL 47, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 41: Jillian Smith’s 20 points led the Raiders (10-5) past the Mustangs (6-8) in Monmouth.

Grace Lough scored 11 points and Mackenzee Wardwell finished with 10 for Oak Hill, which jumped out to a 20-11 lead after one quarter.

Kaitlyn Frost scored 20 points for Monmouth.

BOYS BASKETBALL

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 63, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 41: Kai Dougher scored 12 of his 28 points in the third quarter, fueling a 31-13 surge that carried the Phoenix (12-2) to a win over the Falcons (3-11) in Jay.

Dylan Jewett added 16 points for the Phoenix, who led 24-22 at halftime.

Dylan Theriault led Mountain Valley with 14 points, followed by Blake Small with 11.

POLAND 67, WELLS 56: A 25-13 run in the fourth quarter helped the Knights (10-5) secure a victory over the Warriors (6-9) in Poland.

Nick Jamo paced the Knights with 19 points, while Alex Mains scored 15. Lucas Verril and Jake Jamo each chipped in with 10.

Kevin Bolduc led Wells with 17 points. Aydan Collins finished with 11.

LEWISTON 70, OXFORD HILLS 31: Joao Samba led a balanced attack with 17 points as the Blue Devils (9-6) defeated the Vikings (4-11) in Lewiston.

The Blue Devils had 11 players score. Grayson Bernard and Cohen Strachan each finished with nine points and Derrick Seger scored eight.

Cam Pulkkinen notched 21 points for Oxford Hills.

GARDINER 58, LEAVITT 40: Trace Moody scored 25 points and the Tigers (13-2) cruised past the Hornets (10-5) in Turner.

Brady Atwater added nine points for Gardiner, which outscored Leavitt 37-18 over the second and third quarters.

Jacob Gibbs and Colin Schlobohm both scored 13 points and Darren Flagg had 11 for Leavitt.
