Levi Laverdiere made six 3-pointers and finished with 32 points to lead the Monmouth Academy boys basketball team to a 79-49 victory over Lisbon on Monday in Monmouth.

Tyler Day added 16 points for the Mustangs (12-5), who outscored the Greyhounds 27-8 in the second quarter to pull away.

Owen Hurd scored 16 points and Jaxson Roy-Thompson finished with 14 for Lisbon (8-9).

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 68, OAK HILL 43:ย The Phoenix (15-2) went on a 22-11 run in the second quarter to take a 36-21 lead into halftime en route to a win over the Raiders (9-8) in Wales.

Cai Dougher paced the Phoenix with 17 points, while Owen Kelvey was right behind with 15 points. Austin Armandi scored 11 points and Dylan Jewett chipped in 10. The victory improvesย Spruce Mountainโ€™s chances to secure the top seedย in Class C South. The Phoenix wrap up their season Wednesday at home against Class D South-leading Mt. Abram.

PJ Smith scored 15 for Oak Hills, and Braden Dubuc had eight points.

MADISON 54, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 45: Finn Haynie hit three 3-pointers and scored all 16 of his points in the second half of the Bulldogsโ€™ (12-6) win over the Falcons (3-14) in Madison.

Jacob Linkletter contributed 14 points and eight rebounds and Brayden Furbush had 10 points and six rebounds for Madison, which will be the No. 2 or No. 3 seed in the Class D South tournament.

Blake Small led Mountain Valley with 11 points, while Ridge Duguay finished with 10.

FREEPORT 66, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 50:ย Drew Pound scored 17 points, Ben Albertini and Mason Vintinner each contributed 13 points, and the Falcons (5-12) recovered from a early deficit against the Patriots (5-12) in Freeport.

The Falcons trailed the Patriots 18-6 after one quarter, but cut the gap to four, 33-29, by halftime and pulled ahead 41-39 after three quarters. Freeport then pulled away with a 25-11 fourth period.

Carter Corson scored 16 points and Quentin Warrick had 12 for the Patriots.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 53, FREEPORT 32:ย The Patriots (16-1) improved theirย chances for the No. 1 seed in Class B Southย by beating the Falcons (8-9) in Gray.

Freshman Bryn Gilmore scored 13 of her game-high 26 points in the third quarter as Gray-New Gloucester turned its 20-11 halftime lead into a 43-23 advantage.

Ella Kenney added 11 points for the Patriots, who can wrap up the top seed by beating fourth-place Greely (13-4) on Wednesday.

Emily Groves scored 13 points and Ky Kennedy finished with 10 for Freeport, which is looking to lock down B Southโ€™s seventh seed by beating No. 5 Poland in the regular season finale.
