Trenton Haskell scored nine of 15 points in the fourth quarter as Buckfield overcame Richmond to earn a 47-46 Class D South boys basketball victory Tuesday in Buckfield.

Ryder Bragg added 11 points for the Bucks (8-10), who trailed 33-30 after three quarters. Buckfield will be the sixth seed in the D South tournament.

Four players reached double figures for the Bobcats (2-15): David Edwards with 12, James Hathorne with 11, and Sully McDaniel and Zaden Steele with 10 each.

LEWISTON 48, MT. BLUE 45: The Blue Devils (10-7) finally overtook the Cougars (9-8) in the fourth quarter to earn an important Class A North victory in Lewiston.

Lewiston trailed 38-35 after three quarters then outscored Mt. Blue 13-7 in the fourth. The victory increases the Blue Devils’ chances at the fourth seed in the A North playoffs, while the Cougars are in a battle with Hampden for the sixth seed.

Grayson Bernard scored a game-high 19 points and Joao Samba added 10 for Lewiston, which will finish the regular season at second-seeded Edward Little on Thursday.

Mt. Blue was led by Evan Drake’s 13 points and Simon Thomas’ 12. The Cougars host Oxford Hills on Thursday.

BRUNSWICK 64, OXFORD HILLS 54: Brendan Shaw scored 18 points and the Dragons (13-4) beat the Vikings (4-13) in Paris.

Rylan Ley added 13 points and Jonny Porter chipped in with 10.

Carson Stevens scored 18 points, Jack Stack tallied 17 and Cam Pulkkinen had 14 for Oxford Hills.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 44, LEAVITT 43: Mason Nguyen hit a free throw late in overtime to lift the Panthers (14-3) over the Hornets (11-6) in Waldoboro.

Nguyen finished with 15 points and Kollin Donlin scored 20 for Medomak Valley.

Leavitt’s Trent Holst hit a bucket late in the fourth quarter to force overtime. Colin Schlobohm led the Hornets with 17 points, Jacob Gibbs added 13 and Holst had 10.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

BUCKFIELD 53, RICHMOND 23: Chloee Bennett led the Bucks (15-3) with 13 points in a Class D South win over the Bobcats (2-15) in Buckfield.

Alyssa Breton finished with 10 points, Haleigh Campbell scored nine and Sarae Devoe added eight for Buckfield, which jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter.

Mora Griffin led Richmond with eight points.

MADISON 42, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 16: The Bulldogs built a 26-8 lead by halftime and cruised to a win against the Falcons in a Mountain Valley Conference contest in Rumford.

Jaelyn Rich dropped in 17 points for Madison (9-9). Leah Harper added 14 points.

Maddy Brown scored eight points to lead Mountain Valley (5-12).

MT. ARARAT 49, EDWARD LITTLE 21: Julianna Allen scored 13 points to lead the Eagles (16-1) against the Red Eddies (13-4) in Auburn.

Cali LeClair hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points for Mt. Ararat.

Charlotte Ranger scored seven points for Edward Little.

WINTHROP 54, BOOTHBAY 20: Evelyn Mortimer scored 17 points and the Ramblers (9-8) beat the Seagulls (5-13) in Winthrop.

Kylee Mansir added 11 points for the Ramblers.

Eleanor Erwin and Tatum French both scored eight points for Boothbay.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 57, LISBON 20: Kaitlyn Frost’s 22 points led the Mustangs (9-8) past the Greyhounds (2-16) in Lisbon.

Addison Beaudoin, Eliza Armandi, Maeve Burgess each scored seven points for Monmouth, which is looking to lock down the fourth seed in the Class D South playoffs.

Liz Ferero led Lisbon with eight points.

BRUNSWICK 46, OXFORD HILLS 24: Grace Roak scored 20 points, all in the first three quarters, as the Dragons (7-10) defeated the Vikings (1-16) in Brunswick.

Lydia Goyett led Oxford Hills with 12 points.

GIRLS HOCKEY

BRUNSWICK 7, LEWISTON CO-OP 3: Gillian Countway recorded a hat trick and also set up a goal as the third-seeded Dragons (10-9) beat sixth-seeded Lewiston/Lisbon/Monmouth/Morse/Mt. Ararat/Oak Hill (2-17) in a North quarterfinal at Sid Watson Arena in Brunswick.

Solveig Ledwick added two goals and an assist. Quinn McCormack and Eira Jerome also scored, and Hensleigh LaBonte made 10 saves for Brunswick, which will play No. 2 seed Yarmouth/Freeport (14-2-2) at Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn on Saturday.

Crew Langley notched a hat trick for the Blue Devils. Tessa Heath stopped 17 shots.

BOYS HOCKEY

LEWISTON CO-OP 10, FRYEBURG CO-OP 1: Aizyk Laliberte scored six times and recorded two assists for Lewiston/Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse (10-3-1) in a win over the Fryeburg/Lake Region/Oxford Hills (8-4) in Bridgton.

Austin Landry chipped in with two goals, and Anthony Kavanaugh and Lawson Mayer also scored.

Gunner Truman scored for the Ice Cats.
