Sophia Auger, Thornton Academy co-op senior forward

Auger scored 22 goals and dished out 13 assists this season. She scored four game-winning goals as the Biddeford co-op won 15 games and reached the South final, and had two assists in a 5-4 double overtime win against Gorham in the regional semifinals. Auger plans to continue her hockey career at Worcester State.

Briella Doherty, Cheverus senior defense

A four-year standout on the blue line for the Stags, Doherty had nine goals and 16 assists this season, helping Cheverus reach the state final for the fourth straight season. She completed her career with 12 goals and 56 assists, tying fellow defenseman and Varsity Maine 2024 Player of the Year Brynn McKenney for eighth most points in program history.

Kylie Dulac, Edward Little junior forward

Dulac was an offensive force for the Edward Little co-op this season, recording 29 goals and 21 assists. Her play helped the Red Hornets win 18 games and advance to the North championship game. Dulac scored at least one goal in each of the Red Hornets’ final 14 games.

Paige Fecteau, Poland sophomore goalie

The sophomore was in net for all 20 games for the Edward Little co-op and was the key to the team’s strong defense. Fecteau posted 12 shutouts in her 18 wins, and finished the season with a 0.61 goals-against average and .962 save percentage. She’ll enter her junior year with 17 career shutouts.

Carlin Galligan, Fryeburg Academy senior forward

A senior on the Gorham co-op, Galligan was the offensive catalyst for the Rams this winter, recording 28 goals and 25 assists and reaching 100 points for her career. Galligan scored three or more points nine times. Coach Dave Grant praised her ability to play a lot of minutes, which was key given the team’s short bench. Calligan plans to attend New England College, where she’ll play softball.

Azalea Grant, Fryeburg Academy junior defense

Grant was a strong two-way player for the Gorham co-op. She recorded 14 goals and 27 assists, including three game-winning goals. Grant joined teammate Carlin Galligan in reaching 100 career points this season.

Leksi Langevin, Poland sophomore forward

 A repeat Varsity Maine All-State selection, the Edward Little co-op sophomore joined teammate Kylie Dulac to form the most dangerous scoring duo in the state. Langevin notched 28 goals and 24 assists, helping the Red Hornets to the top seed in the North and the regional championship game. With 67 goals and 38 assists in two seasons, Langevin has already surpassed 100 points.

Solveig Ledwick, Brunswick senior forward

The Varsity Maine Player of the Year and a two-time All-State pick, Ledwick led the state with 31 goals. She added nine assists for 40 points. A standout two-way player for the Dragons, Ledwick made the transition from defense to center as a junior while continuing to help Brunswick at both ends of the ice. She plans to attend Bowdoin College in the fall.

Maya Nasveschuk, Yarmouth sophomore forward

Nasveschuk built on a strong freshman season with an even better sophomore campaign, recording 24 goals and 14 assists to help Yarmouth/Freeport win the state title. Nasveschuk scored three short-handed goals and recorded five hat tricks in the regular season.

Corinne Ramunno, Biddeford senior forward

Along with Sophia Auger, Ramunno gave the Biddeford co-op a dangerous 1-2 scoring combination. Ramunno had 29 goals, including seven on the power play, and 17 assists. Her play helped Biddeford contend in the South and reach the regional final. She plans to attend the University of New England, and play both field hockey and ice hockey.

Ellie Skolnekovich, Cheverus senior goalie

Skolnekovich, a repeat Varsity Maine All-State pick, capped a strong career with a 0.82 goals-against average and .956 save percentage this season. She posted eight shutouts, including two in the playoffs to help Cheverus reach the state final for the fourth straight season. She leaves Cheverus as the program’s all-time leader in wins (47), shutouts (23) and goals-against average (1.14 in 69 games). She plans to attend Union College, where she’ll play field hockey.

Adelaide Strout, Yarmouth senior defense

Strout was the leader of the Yarmouth/Freeport team and was instrumental in the Clippers’ state championship run. A repeat Varsity Maine All-State selection, Strout was a two-way threat with 17 goals and 11 assists, including four power-play goals. She plans to attend the University of New Hampshire, where she’ll play club hockey.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Dave Intraversato, Yarmouth/Freeport: After coming close each of the past three seasons, Yarmouth/Freeport won its first state title with a 1-0 overtime victory over three-time defending champion Cheverus. To claim the top spot, the Clippers had to beat a pair of top seeds in the playoffs, first the Edward Little co-op in the North final, then Cheverus in the title game.
