AUBURN — One man escaped serous injury and another was being sought by police Friday afternoon after trucks collided on Route 4.
Police were called to the area of 2767 Turner Road at about 3:30 p.m. for a report that a truck had flipped and that the driver was lying in the road.
Police said Nathaniel Chick, 18, of Wales, was driving a 2012 Toyota Tacoma on Route 4 when another driver, in a GMC pickup truck, attempted to pass him.
The GMC clipped the side of Chick’s pickup, police said, causing the Tacoma to roll over. Chick was not seriously hurt in the wreck.
Shortly after police and rescue crews arrived, Auburn police put out a bulletin to other agencies to be on the lookout for the second truck, which was expected to have damage to one side.
Police were still searching for the second driver Friday night.
