AUBURN — Just shy of three years in business as J&H Pizza at 539 Washington St., owner Hannah Olcott confirms they are closing this month.
The last day at the location will be May 22.
It all happened very quickly. On April 29, Olcott posted on her Facebook page that her landlord had listed the property for sale, and she and her father and business partner Joshua Desmaris were not able to purchase the building.
Within a week, Olcott was disappointed to find out the building had been sold and the new owners asked her to vacate by the end of the month.
“While this news is difficult, we’re staying proactive and are currently searching for a new location,” Olcott posted on Facebook. “We’re hopeful about what’s ahead, but also preparing for all possibilities.”
Olcott and her father opened J&H Pizza in September 2023. Since then, Olcott has developed a following for her pizza, chicken tenders, subs, burgers and strombolis.
Faced with looking for a new location, Olcott and her father are actively pursuing leads, but as a backup plan have access to a food truck. They will post updates on Facebook at Isaac’s Place Food Truck.
