Aaron Parker hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give the New Hampshire Fisher Cats a 3-2 win over the Portland Sea Dogs in an Eastern League game Tuesday at Hadlock Field in Portland.
Jace Bohrofen homered in the first inning and former Boston Red Sox prospect Cutter Coffey hit an RBI double in the fourth to give New Hampshire a 2-0 lead. Nate Baez homered in the fourth and Johanfran Garcia tied it with a blast in the seventh. Garcia has four home runs in his last five games.
Portland was held to four hits by three New Hampshire pitchers. Chris McElvain pitched six scoreless innings, allowing one run on one hit. He struck out four and walked one. Mason Olson earned the win, giving a run over two innings, and Conor Larkin pitched a perfect ninth for the save.
Gage Ziehl allowed two runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings for Portland. Cooper Adams took the loss, allowing a run on one hit while striking out two and walking one.
