I have had Kyle of Northbridge Tech Repair visit me several times to work on a variety of problems with computers, phone, digital doorbells, and printers. DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club is holding a “Shredding Fundraiser” in the parking lot of the John F. Murphy Homes Office at 800 Center St. in Auburn on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

This will be a great opportunity for folks and businesses to safely dispose of financial papers or confidential documents that shouldn’t be discarded in the regular trash. All documents will be securely shredded immediately onsite. 

Anyone who has 10 boxes or more can request Rotary volunteers pick them up that morning. The suggested donation is $10 per box or tote. All proceeds support Rotary community charities! Contact the Rotary at [email protected]. — Roger, no town

DEAR SUN SPOTTERS: I am reminding you that I’m in Ireland to visit my daughter and her sweet family at their Organic/Social Farm in East Galway. By the time you see this, I will have arrived and be learning to be a shepherdess. The lambs have been born and the mommas are ready to be shorn so there’s a lot to do! There will be plenty of time to relax and go for long walks too. The flowers are in bloom and everywhere you look, there’s a different shade of green. The property also includes a national protected butterfly sanctuary. As we explore the fields, we will come upon the holy well and all the tiny places where the fairies hide out. They are particularly fond of the gnarled roots of blooming white hawthorn trees.
