Harlee Gasser tossed a complete-game one-hitter for Lewiston in a 5-1 Class A North softball win over Mt. Blue on Wednesday in Lewiston.

Gasser struck out six batters and walked one over seven innings in the circle. She also contributed at the plate, with a single and an RBI.

Haydin Hughes recorded two singles and an RBI, while Matison Newton doubled and Elsie Cloutier knocked in a run. The Blue Devils (7-3) scored three times in the bottom of the fifth to take a 5-0 lead.

Sydney Fletcher recorded the Cougars’ (2-6) only hit and scored their only run.

BUCKFIELD 4, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2: Daisy Vining allowed five hits and struck out five, and Buckfield (5-2) used a two-run fifth inning to take the lead for good against the Seagulls (5-2) at Old Orchard Beach.

Brooklyn Richardson doubled in a run to break a 1-1 tie, and Grace Veinott followed with an RBI single.

Hannah Webber singled in a run for Old Orchard Beach in the fourth inning, and Jordyn Methot added an RBI single in the sixth.

POLAND 17, YARMOUTH 3: The Knights (7-3) pounded out 22 hits on the way to a five-inning win over the Clippers (4-4) in Poland.

Phoebe Paradis was 4 for 4 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored. Julia Paradis drove in three runs with a pair of hits and also scored three times. Leksi Langevin and Brenna Galipeau-Eldridge both finished with three hits, and Karlee Lothrop drove in two runs.

TELSTAR/GOULD 8, CARRABEC 5: Taejyah Lego singled and doubled while driving home two runs for the Rebels (6-0) in a win over the Cobras (5-5) in Anson.

Kendall Duchart helped the Telstar/Gould offense with two singles, an RBI and a run scored. Brooklyn Deprey, Emma McPherson, Lily Salmon and Vivienne Charette also each drove in a run.

Amiya Ribbetts singled and recorded two RBI for Carrabec. Karen Baker and Kendall Scheve each had a RBI, Kaitlin Dellarma doubled and singled, and Lilly Kinney singled twice.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 14, HALL-DALE 4: Bella Chretien went 3 for 4 and scored four runs as the Phoenix (3-4) earned a six-inning road win over the Bulldogs (1-5) in Farmingdale.

Chretien also drove in a run, and one of her three hits was a double.

Spruce Mountain smacked 12 hits and drew 10 walks. Santika Hodgkin tripled, drove in two runs and scored twice, Khloe Ames had two hits and two RBI, and Rylee Turner singled twice. Turner also earned the win with three strikeouts over six innings.

Anika Terrill doubled and knocked in two runs for Hall-Dale. Natalie James and Katie Murphy (double) had two hits apiece. Claire Kapinos also doubled.

CONY 14, MONMOUTH 11: Kya Douin, Khloe Price and Caelyn Lebel each belted three hits for the Rams (4-2), who out-dueled the Mustangs (5-2) in a high-scoring matchup in Monmouth.

Cony scored in five of the seven innings, including three runs in the first, four in the third and five in the fifth.

The Mustangs, meanwhile, scored in every inning but the fourth. They had four multi-run frames: two in the first, two in the second, three in the fifth and two in the bottom of the seventh.

Evelyn Pettengill recorded three hits for Monmouth, and Lillian Palleschi had two hits.

EDWARD LITTLE 14, CAMDEN HILLS 8: Chloe LeBlanc and Elizabeth Galway each smacked three hits for the Red Eddies (8-2) in a victory over the Windjammers (6-4) in Rockport.

LeBlanc scored three times, while Galway recorded a RBI and scored twice. Mia Long led Edward Little with three RBI. Jayda Clark added two singles and an RBI while scoring twice.

Charlotte McGreevy had three hits reached base four times for Camden Hills. She also drove in three runs and scored two. Thea Laukka and Evangelene Morneau both singled twice.

BASEBALL

HALL-DALE 13, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 3: The Bulldogs (2-5) used five- and seven-run outbursts to pull away from the Phoenix (2-5) and earn a five-inning victory in Farmingdale.
Spruce Mountain led 3-0 after an inning and a half. Hall-Dale scored once in the bottom half of the second, then plated five in the third and seven in the fourth.

Logan Norton doubled and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs, Isaac Fogg had three RBI, and Josias Brown had two hits, including a double, and scored three runs. The Bulldogs drew 12 walks.

Hall-Dale starting pitcher Carson Mattice struck out seven in 3 1/3 innings.

Kolby Cotton doubled and drove in a pair of runs for the Phoenix.

YARMOUTH 5, POLAND 0: Jack Flanagan drove in four runs and Tyler Emerson threw a four-hitter for the Clippers (4-4) in a victory over the Knights (4-6) in Poland.

Yarmouth scored three times in the third and twice in the seventh. Flanagan got two of his team’s six hits.

Will Stanford hit a double for Poland. The Knights struck out seven times.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 16, BUCKFIELD 2: The Seagulls (6-1) fell behind by two runs in the first inning, then stormed back to defeat Buckfield (4-3) in five innings at Old Orchard Beach.

Aiden Hodgkins and Matt Charron combined to limit the Bucks to three hits while striking out nine. They also had two hits apiece and drove in two runs.

Old Orchard scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, then added six in both the second and third.

EDWARD LITTLE 12, CAMDEN HILLS 1: Adam Meserve drove in five runs and Max Kimble pitched a one-hitter for the Red Eddies (5-5) in a five-inning victory over the Windjammers (2-8) in Rockport.

Meserve doubled and singled. He also scored two runs. Dom Dumais added three hits, including a double, drove in a run and scored three. Brooks Beaudry (two RBI, one run) and Tallen Berry-Hart (one RBI, one run) each collected two hits.

Max Kimble improved to 3-0 on the season by striking out five and walking one in five innings on the mound.

Tucker Whitley had Camden Hills’ only hit.

BOYS LACROSSE

EDWARD LITTLE 14, LEWISTON 4: Orrin Slover scored five goals and assisted on two others as the Red Eddies (7-1) beat the rival Blue Devils (2-5) in Lewiston.

Edward Little has won six straight games — two of those coming against Lewiston.

Matt Fecteau and Landon Nagy each added three goals for the Red Eddies. Casey Mileikis added two goals and three assists, and Hunter Bailey set up two scores.

Collin Michaud led the Blue Devils with two goals. Ben Gradwell and Cam Plourde had a goal and an assist each, and goalie Logan Hiscock made 13 saves.
