USA Hockey announced on Friday that Greg Moore’s contract as a head coach with the National Team Development Program wasn’t renewed.
Moore, who grew up in Lisbon, spent the past three seasons coaching the top under 18 boys players in the country. He coached Team USA to a silver medal at the 2025 International Ice Hockey Federation’s World Under 18 Championships and also guided the Americans to a silver medal (2023) and a bronze medal (2025) at the World Under-17 Challenge.
Moore was coach of the NTDP’s U17 team during the 2023-24 and 2025-26 seasons and led the U18 team during the 2024-25 season. Based in Plymouth, Michigan, the NTDP teams play in the United States Hockey League when not competing in international events.
Moore, a former St. Dominic Regional High School and UMaine standout, rejoined the NTDP after coaching the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League from 2019-23. He was the head coach of the Chicago Steel of the USHL in 2018-19 and an assistant coach with the NTDP from 2015-18.
