Mya St. Pierre and Celia Bergdahl each scored four goals to lead Maranacook/Winthrop to a 15-5 win over Mt. Ararat in a girls lacrosse game Thursday in Readfield.
Stella Stewart added two goals and four assists, while Alica Ferran had three goals and three assists for the Black Bears (11-0), who are ranked fifth in the Varsity Maine Top 10. Ingrid Stewart and Alex Stewart each had a goal and an assist.
Izzy Murphy, Jaelyn Jensen, Jenna Jensen, Celiah Godo and Avery Creek scored for Mt. Ararat (5-5).
SOFTBALL
OXFORD HILLS 11, MESSALONSKEE 1: Peyton Cleveland pitched a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts, and the Vikings (11-1) took down the Eagles (0-11) in six innings in Paris.
Sam McPhail led Oxford Hills’ offense with two hits, three RBI and two runs. Taylor Truman drove in a pair of runs, and Atalie Campbell had a double. Cleveland scored a team-high three runs.
Sierra Kingsbury had two of Messalonskee’s hits. Eagles starting pitcher Lauryn Swails fanned six batters in five innings.
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 12, MT. ABRAM 0: Kyanah Wing was 2 for 3 with two doubles, drove in three runs and scored once to lead the Falcons (4-4) past the Roadrunners (1-8) in a five-inning game in Salem.
Madeleine Brown added a double, a single, three RBI and three runs scored. Emma Williams (single, double) and Addison Libby (two singles) also contributed offensively.
Vega Rollins hit a triple for Mt. Abram.
BOYS LACROSSE
GORHAM 16, LEWISTON 2: Cole Chasse and Aiden Dudley both scored five goals to lead the Rams (3-7) past the Blue Devils (3-6) in Gorham.
Connor Rounds and Cabot Peffer each added two goals for Gorham. Quinn Drake and Max Duplisea also scored.
Collin Michaud scored twice for Lewiston, and goalie Logan Hiscock stopped 17 shots.
