ANSWER: Now, more than ever, we need to support our local libraries. Another suggestion I’d like to make is that when you’re out and about touring around the country or even just in Maine this summer, make a point to visit libraries in all the towns.
As you know, I was just in Ireland and accompanied my grandson to his “Dungeons & Dragons” meet-up at the library in their town. I was blown away by all the free offerings available to children and adults at this small library. There were a dozen computer classes for adults, three language classes, date night for couples that included childcare, and so many options for children and teens.
If you’re not familiar with what your library has to offer this summer, make sure you go find out!
