In the month of May, 11 homes were sold in Auburn, according to Maine Multiple Listing Service, a database for real estate listings managed by the Maine Association of Realtors.
In the properties we researched, most final sale prices were above initial asking price by $2,500 to $20,000. The average price of a single-family residence in Auburn from May 1-26 was $374,167, according to Jeff Emmert, owner of Hearth & Key Realty, based on Maine Multiple Listing data.
In the same period statewide, Emmert said the average home sold for $433,875, according to Maine Multiple Listing data.
These are some of the homes in Auburn that sold this month:
23 Streamside Drive

This new three-bedroom, two-bathroom ranch is off Center Street in Auburn.
Built in 2025, 23 Streamside Drive features new appliances, spacious rooms and a first-floor laundry. The interior is open and filled with large windows. The exterior has yard space in the front and back.
23 Streamside Drive was sold May 18 by Maine Source Realty for $417,500, which was $2,500 above its initial asking price.
The home has propane baseboard heating and no cooling. It has city sewer and water.
12 Dee St.
Built in 1968, this three-bedroom, one-bathroom home sold for $335,000 by Meservier & Associates on May 14, more than $20,000 above its initial asking price of $314,900.
The home had one previous owner. The interior features hardwood floors and built-in china hutch.
The exterior features a big yard front and back on more than 1,056 square feet and a shed. It has a carport attached.
12 Dee St. is a five-minute drive to downtown Auburn and Lewiston.
The home has an oil furnace for hot water and baseboard heat, but no cooling. It has city water and sewer.
15 Reginald St.

Less than a half-mile from Dee Street is 15 Reginald St., a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home on a dead-end street.
The home is up the street from Sherwood Heights Elementary School while bordering Huston Farm Conservation Area.
Like Dee Street, Reginald Street is a quick drive to downtown Lewiston and Auburn.
The home was sold May 5 by Meservier & Associates for $355,000, which was its initial asking price.
The interior features new cabinets, appliances and granite countertops in the kitchen, with an open-concept first floor. It also has newly refinished stairs and a second floor with three bedrooms. The home has an unfinished basement.
The exterior features a fenced-in backyard with a large deck. It also includes a fire pit. The front of the home features a variety of plantings. It has a two-car attached garage.
The house comes with baseboard heat, no cooling. It has city water and a private septic system.
14 Taylor St.

14 Taylor St. brings character with its craftsmanship and its history.
Built in 1920, this colonial home was owned and cared for by the same family for more than 80 years. It is close to both downtown Lewiston and Auburn.
The property was sold May 4 for $375,000 by Meservier & Associates, which was its initial asking price.
A four-bedroom, two-bathroom home, 14 Taylor St.’s interior features hardwood floors and original woodwork. It has stained glass accents and plenty of room for gatherings. The living room also has a built-in old-fashioned fireplace. All of the bedrooms are on the second floor.
50 North Auburn Road

Located in West Auburn, 50 North Auburn Road is a short drive to Lost Valley Ski Area and the Lake Auburn trails.
The property was sold by Century 21 North East for $315,000 on May 13, with its official closing date on May 14. The price is $20,000 more than its initial $295,000 asking price.
50 North Auburn Road is a three-bedroom, one-bathroom home built in 1920 that features a modern interior, updated stainless steel appliances and many windows. The primary bedroom is on the first floor, with the two other recently updated bedrooms on the second floor. The bathroom on the first floor was also renovated.
The property includes a sunroom and an unfinished basement.
525 Park Ave.

This four-bedroom, two-bathroom home sold May 6 by Keller Williams Realty for $390,000, $900 less than its initial asking value.
The Cape-style home was built in 1964. 525 Park Ave.’s interior features two levels, with the first floor featuring one bedroom, a large living room, and a kitchen and spacious dining area. An outbuilding connects the kitchen to the home’s two-car garage. The second level features three bedrooms, including a spacious master bedroom.
