Hudson Lufkin’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh lifted Dirigo to a 5-4 baseball win over rival Mountain Valley on the final day of the regular season Thursday in Dixfield.

The Cougars (8-8) jumped out to a 3-1 in the first inning. Mountain Valley scored three in the top of the fourth before the Cougars tied the game in the bottom half.

Trevor Crosby and Caiden Skidgell both had two hits and an RBI for Dirigo.

Josh Pollis got three of Mountain Valley’s four hits, including a double. He scored twice and drove in a run.

Dirigo’s Kaeden Swan was the winning pitcher, tossing two hitless innings in relief.

OAK HILL 7, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Braden Dubuc pitched a one-hitter, struck out 11 and was 2 for 4 with two RBI as the Raiders ended their regular season with a victory over the Phoenix in Wales.

Oak Hill (7-9) scored in every inning except the first. Braden New and Keliba Samare both scored twice.

Brody Veilleux got the only hit for Spruce Mountain (3-13).

YARMOUTH 3, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Tyler Emerson pitched a shutout with 16 strikeouts and no walks, leading the Clippers (9-7) past the Patriots (3-13) in Gray.

Emerson allowed four hits. Iggy McGrath had two hits for Yarmouth, which scored three unearned runs — one in the fourth and two in the seventh.

Kayden Oliver pitched five innings, allowing an unearned run on five hits and four walks for Gray-New Gloucester. He struck out six.

DIRIGO 5, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 4: Nikole Turnbull’s two-run double in the bottom of the seventh gave the Cougars (15-1) a walk-off victory over the Falcons (10-6) in a back-and-forth regular-season finale in Dixfield.

Mountain Valley trailed 1-0, then scored on an error and a Maddy Brown RBI single in the top of the third to gain a 2-1 advantage.

Lana Waite and Emma Witas drove in runs in the bottom of the fourth to put Dirigo back on top 3-2, but Brown doubled in two more runs to give the Falcons a 4-3 lead in the fifth.

Leah Turnbull and Abby Luczynski each contributed a pair of hits to Dirigo’s offensive output.

Waite pick up the win, pitching a complete game, striking out seven, walking two and allowing two earned runs on seven hits.

Mountain Valley pitcher Addison Libby fanned five batters.

YARMOUTH 10, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 7: Julia Soelberg belted two doubles and scored two runs to help the Clippers (9-7) beat the Patriots (4-12) in Gray.

Presley Strout and Mollie Webber each added two RBI for Yarmouth. Strout, Mollie Webber and Adelaide Strout each added a double, while Ceci Haynes had two hits.

Maddie Patrick had two triples and two RBI for Gray-New Gloucester. Emily Carroll and Olivia Flanigan each added a triple.

OAK HILL 6, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Izzy Whitaker fanned 10 batters, walked one and allowed four hits and one run to pitch the Raiders (7-9) past the Phoenix (7-8) in Wales.

Whitaker also contributed a hit and an RBI, and Sydney Wood drove in two runs. Robyn Babbidge led Oak Hill with three hits and two runs.

Bella Chretien had two hits for Spruce Mountain, while Abby Nelson tripled home a run and Santika Hodgkin doubled and scored a run.
