Six Oxford Hills area towns have reported the results for select board and other municipal elections held June 9.

Select board races in Buckfield, Norway, Otisfield and Oxford were uncontested.

In Harrison and Paris it was more competitive. Each town had two opening select board terms that attracted three candidates vying for the seats.

All newly and reelected members will officially begin their new terms after July 1, when the next fiscal year begins.

BUCKFIELD
Robert Hand and Joanne Bly were both reelected to the select board. Hand, the current chairman, received 396 votes while Bly collected 424.

Erin Hinkley was reelected as director of Regional School Unit 10.

HARRISON
Nathan Sessions and Mike Garvey were reelected to Harrison’s board of selectmen. Sessions has been vice-chair since last year. Garvey was one of two elected in 2025 after two board members resigned mid-term. Sessions collected 496 votes and Garvey 454. Challenger Kyle Kent finished third with 197 votes.

Scott Ramsdell was reelected for a three-year term to the planning board, receiving 331 votes, closely beating Gordon Campbell’s 327 votes. Cameron Fernald was reelected as well, to a one-year term. With no challengers, Fernald had 604 votes.

NORWAY
Sarah Carter, currently vice-chair of Norway’s select board, was reelected with 995 votes. Vern Maxfield was also voted in, with 787 votes. He replaces Dennise Whitley, who did not run for reelection.

Deirdre Fulton and Beth Gray will both return as trustees at the Norway Memorial Library. Fulton is vice-president of the board.

OTISFIELD
With two seats expiring this month, Frank Blauvelt, Jr. won reelection as selectman. He was first elected in 2024 when Otisfield expanded from a three to a five-member board. Sarah Burnham was also elected and will replace Rick Micklon, who is retiring after serving several terms as the board’s vice-chairman. Blauvelt received 388 votes and Burnham 330.

OXFORD
Dana Dillingham was reelected to the select board in an uncontested race, receiving 835 votes. He joined the board in March of 2020 after winning a special election. He is currently the board’s chairman.

William Frye, Jr. received 824 votes in an uncontested race for Oxford Water District trustee.

PARIS
In Paris, Select Board Chair Scott McElravy was voted out in a three-way race for two seats, receiving 455 votes to Matthew Gary’s 659 and Ron Ramsey’s 518.

McElravy’s loss results in a new-look governing board. Robert Ripley and Steve Cronce were both elected one year ago, replacing Christopher Summers and Peter Kilgore as they stepped down.

In December, following abrupt autumn resignations of former members Michael Bailey and Matthew Brackett, Robert Federico and Scott Buffington were voted in during a special election to replace them. 

In that contest, Federico was the top vote-getter for Brackett’s seat over challengers Troy Ripley and Gary. He has one more year on his term. Buffington won in the race for Bailey’s seat, which expires this month, beating Ramsey and Michael Lance. In December, Buffington stated he planned to only serve for six months and would not run for a full three-year term.

Two were reelected to three-year terms on Paris Utility District’s board, Matthew Dietrick (currently trustee chair) and Keith Rudman (currently assistant treasurer).
