Biddeford hockey co-op wins semifinal in 2 OT

McKenna Buchanan’s goal with 2:40 left in the second overtime lifted the Tigers to a 5-4 win over the Gorham co-op. A back-and-forth third period began with two goals by Corinne Rammuno that gave Biddeford its first lead, then the teams traded goals until Kalia Davis scored with 3:10 left to force OT.

Cheverus edges Skowhegan in field hockey final

It didn’t come easy, but thanks to a goal from sophomore Jaylee Radford with 1:58 to play, Cheverus edged Skowhegan 3-2 for its third straight Class A title. It was also the final game at Skowhegan for decorated coach Paula Doughty.

Mt. Blue wrestling wins, then shares title

Mt. Blue was declared the team champion at the girls wrestling state championship on Feb. 17 in Belfast. Two days later, due to confusion over an eligibility rule, the Maine Principals’ Association declared that Noble would share the title, making the Knights and the Cougars the first co-champions in the tournament’s short history.

Scarborough wins A South soccer final in PKs

What could have been a gut punch for Scarborough instead created a stirring finish in the Class A South final. Windham scored the tying goal with just under seven minutes to play, but Maya Taylor’s clincher in penalty kicks gave the Red Storm a 2-1 win and their fourth straight regional title.
