Troy Ripley, of Paris, will again serve as chairman on Maine School Administrative District 17’s board of directors for the next year. This will be his third term serving as chairman of the board.

Ripley was nominated and seconded for the role by Oxford directors Nathan Broyer and Shauna Broyer, and then reelected unanimously.

Director Mark Curran, of Harrison, was the sole nominee for vice-chairman, and that vote, too, was unanimous. Curran was appointed to the board by Harrison’s Select Board in January of last year, and became vice-chair earlier this year when Kitty Winship, of Waterford, resigned.

SAD 17’s executive administrative secretary Debra Hertell was also reelected as voter registration clerk for district meetings.

Ripley nominated four directors to serve with him on the board’s finance committee, selecting Jennifer Russell, of Paris, Lew Williams, of Hebron, and Nathan Broyer, of Oxford, and newcomer Tom Nigro, of Waterford. The vote for the four was unanimous.
