DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m in search of a cookbook from the Wilton area that was published a few years back. This was a blueberry cookbook and possibly was a centennial edition. It is spiral-bound and has blueberries on the cover. It was no doubt put together for the Blueberry Festival that takes place every August in Wilton. A dear friend has lost hers in all her moves she has done.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Norway Country Club Ladies Golf Association (NCCLA) is happy to announce that they are planning their 13^th Annual Drive Out Cancer Golf Tournament for Aug. 13 at Norway Country Club. 

Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine. This 501c3 nonprofit, located at 59 Winter St. in Norway, serves anyone impacted by cancer in the Oxford Hills and surrounding communities including Bridgton, Bethel and Rumford. 

The CRCofWM offers free in-person and virtual programs, classes, support groups, travel, and food assistance, plus a variety of comfort items. This fundraising event includes a ladies’ 18-hole scramble, basket raffle, silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

Members of the NCCLA are asking friends and businesses in the Oxford Hills and surrounding area for monetary donations and items for their silent auction and raffle. Individuals or businesses may sponsor this tournament by choosing to be a bronze sponsor for $250, a silver sponsor for $500, or a gold sponsor for $1,000. These sponsors will have their names on a sign by the club house and their names listed in the program. 

For $125, a business or individual may be a tee sponsor and have their name posted on a sign at a golf tee. 

The ladies are also collecting a variety of items and gift certificates from local restaurants, golf courses and businesses in the area to put in their silent auction and basket raffle. 

The public may place bids and purchase raffle tickets the week before the tournament until the event begins. 

Ladies will also be selling 50/50 raffle tickets for the two weeks leading up to the tournament, one for $5, 3 for $10, and 10 for $20. All winners will be announced after lunch on tournament day.
