Lawrence “Larry” Lucien Veilleux

AUBURN – Lawrence “Larry” Lucien Veilleux, 92, of Greene, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at Andwell Hospice House in Auburn with his loving daughter and granddaughters by his side.

Lawrence was born in Livermore Falls on Dec. 18, 1931, the only son of the late Ronaldo and Ida (Tardiff) Veilleux. He was educated in local schools and worked at Globe Albany mill in North Monmouth as a machinist for many years until his retirement.

He is survived by his only child, a daughter, Michelle Emerson and her husband James of Auburn; his sister, Louise Castonguay who he was very close with; two granddaughters, Felicia Bryant and her husband Christopher, and Monica Hirschman and her husband William, three step-grandchildren, Caroline Hayes and her husband Mac, Charles Emerson, and Charlotte Emerson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Nathalie Helms Veilleux, three sisters, Doris Paling, Claire Parlin, and Arlene Cornelio, a special brother-in-law, Lionel Castonguay; and special niece, Diane Castonguay Gould.

We would also like to mention his dear friends at The Meadows in Greene where he resided for the last seven years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024 from 10 – 11 a.m. at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 217 Turner St. Auburn, ME. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with committal prayers following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Livermore Falls.
