* Kristopher Erik-Donnell Akerly, 20, of 12 Treemont Drive, Lewiston, on charges of theft and violating conditions of release, 8:57 p.m. Thursday at Hannaford, 95 Spring St.

* Jessica Ahlstrom, 21, of 17 Lavoie St., Jay, arrested by Livermore Falls police on a charge of assault, 6 p.m. Thursday on Knapp Street.

Accidents

Lewiston

 * Mary L. Ratsavong, 22, of Turner, lost control of her car and slid off the roadway at 7:01 p.m. Tuesday on Johnson Road. Her 2005 Chevrolet was towed.

Auburn

* A car driven by Glynnis P. Nadel, 23, of Lexington, Ky., slid into a city of Auburn cargo van while its driver, Alan C. Spencer, 63, of Auburn was outside the vehicle repairing a street sign at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on Merrow Road. Nadel’s 2001 Toyota was towed. The city vehicle, a 1998 GMC, sustained minor damage.

* James Chandler, 62, of Bryant Pond, lost control of his SUV and slid into a tree at 5:27 p.m. Tuesday on Holbrook Road. His 1999 Honda was towed.

* Micah C. Brown, 35, of Mechanic Falls, lost control of his car and flipped it onto the drivers side in a ditch at 7:16 a.m. Tuesday on Riverside Drive. Damage to his 2009 Honda was listed as functional.
