FARMINGTON — Giddy-Up & Go 4-H Horse Club’s annual Manure Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 16, at 96 Hammond St. off Route 133.

A tractor will be on hand to load trucks or trailers for a donation of $15 per bucket full. Full-size pick-ups can hold two bucket loads. Manure by the bag costs $3 each.

The locally-grown, naturally produced manure from horses and cows is pesticide and herbicide free. It is mixed with shavings and partially composted.

The Club will use the proceeds from the Manure Sale to help fund trips, to buy club jackets and to buy equipment to use at Mounted Meeting. This year, Giddy-Up & Go is earning money to subsidize a trip to Equine Affair in Springfield, Mass., in November.
