WEST PARIS – The Unitarian-Universalist Church is opening its doors to the community again this year for Cabin Fever Countdown programs.

Starting Thursday, Jan. 3, the church will be open each Thursday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. for games, puzzles, crafts or a time to visit with friends. Coffee and a snack will be provided.

Each week a craft or special program will be offered as well as board games, dominoes and card games. Jigsaw puzzles will be works in progress. One year the puzzle stumped the whole group.

The first week’s craft will be the making or a crayon quilt block. Materials and supplies will be provided. The technique was recently shown on a TV segment. Anyone who has a special outline print that they would like to try from a children’s coloring book or other source should bring it along.

Future programs may include origami and tai chi. If there is a program or speaker anyone would like to have included should call Beverly Stevens, 674-2481.
