PORTLAND – Sue Robitaille and George Greenwood, owners of RE/MAX River Cities, along with eight other River Cities agents and staff, attended RE/MAX Day at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center on Dec. 10.

The event was held to celebrate the purchase of five new incubators for the children’s hospital, gifts made possible by donations from agents at eight RE/MAX offices in Maine and New Hampshire.

“Our jobs are the same, we both provide warmth and shelter to individuals searching for help,” said Dr. Peter Marro, director of neonatology at the children’s hospital.

More than 650 infants are cared for at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the hospital each year.

RE/MAX is a sponsor of the Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals in North America.

In southwestern Maine and northeastern New Hampshire, 100 percent of funds donated to the Children’s Miracle Network support the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.

Participating RE/MAX agents pledge to make a donation to the children’s hospital in honor of their clients as part of the Miracle Home Program.

Last year agents donated nearly $38,000 to the children’s hospital.
