PARIS — The Friends of the (West Paris) Library invite you to a free concert by The ’75 Scottys on Sunday, March 10, at 2 p.m.

Lauren Scott and Chris Borden are the musical duo, The ’75 Scottys. Possibly you’ve danced to their lively tunes recently at the Family Friendly Community Contra Dance in Otisfield. Maybe you enjoyed their acoustic music last winter, while dining out on a Wednesday night at the Norway Brewing Co., where they routinely jammed.

The ’75 Scottys will perform March 10 at the West Paris Library.

Now they are coming to the West Paris Library, where Scott is the assistant librarian. She  also is The ’75 Scottys’ fiddler, and her husband, Chris Borden, plays the guitar and bodhran. They live in Otisfield, and have been playing together for five years.

Please think St. Patrick’s Day on March 10, as there will be traditional Irish music for sure, as well as music from Quebec and Eastern Canada. They will give us toe-tapping tunes and wistful waltzes. Winter will flee when we all gather at the West Paris Library for an afternoon of traditional music by The ‘75 Scottys.

There is no snow date. If the weather is of concern, check the library website at westparislibrary.org, its Facebook page, the library’s answering  machine, or “cancellations” on Channels 6 or 8

For information about the concert, call the library (674-2004).
