Sri Lankan performance artist Sulochana Dissanayake, a member of the Bates class of 2009 , joins the Bates College Short Term gamelan ensemble and two Indonesian guest artists for a performance featuring an Indonesian-Sri Lankan-American hybrid of “wayang golek,” the traditional Indonesian art of rod puppetry, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St. Admission is free.
