JAY — Selectpersons will hold a public hearing Monday, March 14, on a proposed $5.27 million municipal budget for 2016-17.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the library at Spruce Mountain High School. It will be followed by a regular Board of Selectpersons meeting.
The proposed spending plan is $368,434 less than the current budget. After factoring in $1.38 million in revenues, it would mean taxpayers would have to raise $3.88 million. It is $415,434 less than was raised for the current budget.
The figures do not include Jay’s share of costs for Regional School Unit 73 or Franklin County.
