The Jan. 13 column by Matt Miller, “”Are you ready for class warfare,” is a throwback to Poor Richard’s Almanac. A surtax on CEOs making 300 times workers’ wages.

The “”Robin Hood Goes To Iraq Stimulus Plan,” charging a surtax on the 5 million millionaires in our country, charging $10,000 each to aid the poor.

And to give the administration its way on dividend and capital gains cuts in return for universal health coverage is brilliant. The 42 million Americans who are uninsured deserve to be treated like the citizens of every other advanced nation.

I have not seen as many fresh ideas on the economy in years. I know it was tongue in cheek, but I hope the Democrats take heed.

The next subject should be regarding foreign policy. Whatever happened to walking softly and carrying a big stick?
