“Ride ’em cowboy,” columnist Suzanne Fields yahoos to President Bush (Feb. 4).

The “’em” this cowboy rides may be a horse of an apocalypse that brings death needlessly to hundreds of Americans and thousands of Iraqis.

I do, however, agree with columnist Fields that “high noon” is a telling description of the president’s shoot-it-out-alone policy.

And maybe “’em” is all of us.
