As the Bush administration prepares to gear up with more presentations to the American public about why war should be waged on Iraq, please bear in mind what our invasion of Iraq really means: certain destruction of lives, environmental contamination and an uncertain future concerning safety of all Americans.

President Bush is ignoring the rest of the world that wants the U.N. weapons inspection team to continue its work, which has only just begun. Once again, we are being cast in the light of aggressor due to our current administration’s policy that waging war is the only answer.

Arguments that we are liberating a people who live under a despotic ruler sound hollow when one considers what would be the future of Iraq if we were to use our weapons of mass destruction.
