The letter from Barbara Harlow titled “”Deceived”” made me want to write (Feb. 8). She said a man approached her and her husband asking to sign a petition to lower prescription costs for the elderly and disabled and, as her husband signed, she noticed it was actually tied to casino gambling.
Well, the exact same thing happened to me. I was told the same thing and, in a bit of a hurry, started to sign when my daughter read that it was for casino gambling.
If these signatures were obtained by deceit as it appears, someone needs to check into the verification of all of these signatures and we need to hear from other people who experienced the same thing.
