How presumptuous of Selectman Robert Walker to declare he would be sending a letter to the Legislature from the town of Norway supporting Bush’s policy with Iraq. Let it be known he does not speak for me or my husband, nor other residents of Norway who I know do not support any war effort.
As for castigating the Senate for passing a resolution against immediate action, I would say this: what Bush is proposing affects our state at many levels, No. 1 being the safety of our men and women in uniform. Also, some of the billions he is willing to spend on this war could be put to myriad uses in Maine.
Finally, when an issue is as urgent and important as this one is, I believe our representatives have an obligation to speak out.@Normal:
