I know we’re supposed to stick to one subject, but I have a few!

First of all, what is so inflammatory about an e-mail that states if you are a immigrant you should learn to speak our language and, if you don’t want to, you’re free to go home (Feb. 12)? I think it’s only common sense!

Rep. John Patrick had every right to send an e-mail about whatever he wants to whomever he wants whenever he wants! And Mr. Sessions has every right to take offense to it.

The large influx of immigrants has diluted our national identity and they should adopt our language and culture. That’s not to say they have to forget theirs.

Rep. Patrick doesn’t need to explain whether he has preconceptions of other races. I’m personally getting really tired of people turning a common sense issue into a race issue, which it’s not!

I’m not racist, but the e-mail was right. Immigrants are free to leave.

And, on the anti-war resolution.

I would like to know what in the hell business is it of our Legislature to vote on something that has nothing to do with our state? Is that what we elected them for?

I thought we had a state in a severe monetary crisis? I thought we had a state that was losing jobs so fast that people can’t keep track of what’s closing next. And we have a bunch of crybaby reps in Augusta acting like a 10th grade political class.

Well, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if you don’t want to do anything for this state or you don’t have anything else better to do, stay home. We will elect competent people next time.
