AUGUSTA — The Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault will honor seven people with the coalition’s annual “Make a Difference Award.”

The MeCASA Board of Directors voted unanimously to honor Cyndi Desrosiers, Michael Sweatt, Paul Kendrick, Courtney Oland, Michael Doherty, Frank and Virginia Doherty. MeCASA Executive Director Elizabeth Ward Saxl said, “This year’s awardees have been tireless advocates for victims/survivors of clergy sexual abuse.”

The awards event will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, in the Blaine House. The event helps kick off Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which falls in April.
