LEWISTON – Protesters on Sunday plan to unveil letters from children describing a world without war.
The group, The Children’s Voices, plans to read some of the letters outside Sen. Susan Collins’ office at the corner of Main and Lisbon streets in Lewiston. The meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
Organizer Gregory Rosenthal, a Bates College student, said he does not know how many letters will be collected. People have been collecting letters at Lewiston and Leavitt Area high schools, he said.
Children are invited to submit their letters at the event.
