1919 – 2003

AUBURN-Emma S. Levesque, 83, of 81 Howe Street, died Thursday, April 3, at her home.

Born in Portland, July 8, 1919, the daughter of George and Isabell Thompson Bucklin, she graduated from Portland High School in 1939.

She worked as an inspector in the shoe industry, retiring from Custom Stitchers in 1981.

Mrs. Levesque was a member of St. Luke’s Cathedral in Portland .

Survivors include her husband, Wilfred J. Levesque of Auburn, whom she married April 17, 1970; two daughters, Geneva Fears of Rochester , N.Y. and Carolyn Douglas and husband Walter of Lewiston; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Hall of Florida and Thelma Stetson of Caribou.

She was predeceased by a son, Marshall W. Cushing.
